Description

A great commission of Bloodsport by the much too rare Rob Haynes.

I don�t care much about the character (I was not the original commissioner) but I do care a lot about Rob Haynes�art who seems to only produce lay outs for other artist nowadays.

The pose here is dynamic and I really like the fact he is aiming above as if he was targeting a hovering Superman (whose foes he is). Rob played well on the fact that he teleports weapons. First by having one teleporting in his right hand and second by setting him in on a pile of weapons. This pin ups tells a story.

The color work is brilliant here as well. The use of light on the piece and how his shadow reflects on the guns below him. It�s hard to believe such a delicate balance of colors can be achieved with markers.

It�s such a shame that such a genius artist doesn�t produce more finished and published work.
