Description

I got this sketch from Neil during his October 2004 signing at New Dimension Comics in Pittsburgh. Neil was exceptionally nice and treated the audience to a humorous Q&A session before the signing began. He went all out during the signing and drew quite a few Sandman sketches in Vertigo Hard Cover books brought by fans. When I got to him in line, he suggested I wait until the signing was complete if I would like a proper sketch. I was more than happy to oblige and was rewarded with this ink and marker piece (none to shabby for a writer).

I think his Sandman sketches are getting better with all the practice. A true collectors item.

Thanks! I had seen Neils sketches in the annotated Sandman, (or a different book) and although he was hesitant to drawn, I'm so glad he agreed to sketch!
