DescriptionThis all started about a year before Heroes Con 06. I really wanted commission from Arthur Adams, Tim Sale and Adam Hughes bad. I've learned over the past few years about how conventions and artist work. If your not the type who can go to show after show and get into that inner circle of people it's really important to do your homework. I contacted Eric Delos Santos. I was really impressed with his collection of Adams work. He told me my best chance to get something good was to try and get one of the pieces that Arthur does and brings to the show. Great idea. Time to save and make a plan. I e-mailed Arthur's dealer about a month or two before the show to confirm he was going to be attending. He tells me he is not going to be at the show. CRAP! My one chance down the drain. Day one of the show. Second in line for Tim Sale awesome. (I was behind a guy that did not even have to wait in line outside). My wife was eighth in line for Adam Hughes awesome. Unfortunately Adam and Allison were extremely nice but were in a car wreck and were not feeling all that great during the show. Didn't get a commission from them. Bummer. One of the guys who did get one was the guy in front of me for Tim Sale. His wife was in the line and she did not have to wait outside either. I think I might have to give up on a Hughes piece. Double BUMMER! Day one of the show almost over and I hear a rumor that Arthur was in the building. I waited at the table for him to show. When he got to the table every one was trying to get on his commission list. I knew he did not even do one so I was lucky to be the first to flip through his portfolio. I wanted to originally get a Jonni Future commission from him. What were the chances he would have a Jonnie Future piece for sale? SCORE! It was not done yet so I would have to let him complete it and mail it to me. I knew it would be a bit of time before I got it. It seemed like it would never get here. Would you know that It just showed up today and I was out. I had to wait till the post office was almost closed and hope the mail person had brought it back so I could get today. GOT IT! I am so happy that this is my first Adams piece. Thanks for the advice Eric!!!! Oh yeah....I think I 'll have to be all Dr. Painfree on this one and say it is not for sale! So you don't have to ask.Social/Sharing |

You're more than welcome John! I'm glad it worked out so well. This is an absolutely FABULOUS piece and I'm glad you've decided to make it a part of your PERMANENT collection. Unfortunately, that also means I won't ever be able to get my hands on it. heh-heh! Congratulations again and thanks for the sneak peek!

That's the best single Jonni Future piece I've ever seen (read as: I am WAY jealous). I know it's not for sale, BUT - never say never (read as: I am your buyer...) Congratulations!!

That's a lot of cleavage! I'm sure it was pricey, but if you break it down to "dollars-per-jug" I'm betting you came away with a pretty good deal

Good lord this has to be one of the best Jonni's I've ever seen. Congrats on a wonderful piece and I loved the story, glad to hear I'm not the only one who had to wait for Art to finish a piece from a con. If you ever get tired of looking at this beauty please drop me a line!
