DescriptionEvery indication is that this is an unpublshed version of a cover for Triple X a noir crime suspense novel the published cover has the same 2 models in the same scene but shot from a different perspective - it is still possible this might turn up published as a men's adventure interior (as Ed Balcourt was notorious for reusing and using every piece of art that came to him as an agent)but the original creation definitely seems to be for Triple X.Working to get the rights to finally have this published as part of the materials used to promote the exhibit FRAMED Social/Sharing |

This may be my favorite piece in your gallery - or anyone else's for that matter. There's something about Maguire's work that really makes him stand out to me in the pantheon of the great vintage cover artists. I remember seeing this in the "Dames, Dolls, and Gun Molls" book. I just checked it again and see that the image is attributed to your collection - that's pretty awesome. I do hope I'll be added to the list of interested parties if you ever decide to part with it - but I understand why you wouldn't - it would go on my wall and stay there until i went toes up. Thanks for sharing, George!
