Description

Thrilled to add an original piece of published Marshall Rogers art. This is a very nice page showing all of his innovative skills with craft tint board and zip-a-tone. This is in the peak years of his artistic skills.

This is the original art used for page 54 of the graphic novel I Am Coyote (1984/Eclipse). This art was penciled and inked by Marshall Rogers. The art area measures 13+1/2" X 18", and it's in excellent shape. The two panels at the ends of the upper tier were drawn on a Craftint board and pasted on. Zip-A-Tone is utilized for shading effects throughout the page.

Really dense and intricate line art complimented by the duo tones and screentone faces on the top. Rogers' work for thie Eclipse series gave him a lot more freedom to explore the mature themes and a sophisticated look.

Really interestingly composed and cinematic page, with the repeating verticals throughout. Rogers was a unique and inventive artist.
