I got lucky.

The OA for all four issues of City of Others were being offered for sale for the first time at the 2013 Dallas Fan Days. Liz Wrightson said that they were in a box that they assumed was just prints. Surprise! It held original comic art to City of Others. It was bargain priced so I went ahead and took a plunge.

City of Others was the first collaboration between Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and Bernie Wrightson (Swamp Thing, Frankenstein), but by no means their last.

I've wanted an example of Bernie's work for some time. I find his people most fascinating. These two pages tell a clear story and feature a lot of people. Though for the most part, they are fairly normal, it scratches my itch pretty well.

The pages are signed by both Bernie and Steve!

I have not read this series, but it's nice to see the fully rendered pencil work (not to mention zombies) and if you got these pages at a bargain than all the better.
