Description

In honor of the Superman-Batman movie featuring two mainstays of the DC Universe I am offering up a small group of pin-ups

This is another "gargoyle" commission. This one was penciled by long-time comic book artist and comic strip artist Paul Ryan. Ryan has worked for Marvel Comics and DC Comics and currently pencils and inks the daily The Phantom comic strip for King Features Syndicate. It was inked by Mark McKenna, another long time artist for Marvel and DC.

This commission was done back in 2001 and like the other one by Lopresti shows Batman standing on a gargoyle overlooking the city with Superman flying overhead. I believe there was a collector who used the "gargoyle" as theme for commissions by a number of artists.

This original is cover-size, done on a piece of 11 x 17" 2 ply DC art board. It is signed and dated by both Ryan and McKenna in the lower right of the image.

As with all of my postings, shipping is not included in the price and I prefer checks and money orders if possible. I only accept PayPal when sent as a "Gift". Sorry.
