A very nice Wolverine commission by Stef Roux. I must precise I was not the original commissioner on this one.

This one was on and on and on on ebay for quite some time and every time it caught my eye. But the seller was asking for more than the double of Stef's rate. Then it disapeared so I assumed it had been sold. And it had. Then the new seller, another European collector, put it on with no reserve. I ended up paying 4 or 5 time less than the original asking price :)

Now about the piece itself, I LOVE the way that Stef depicted Logan. He looks short, massive and bulky as he should be which is accentuated by the camera angle. The fact that he is obviously on a hunt and pissed about it was also something that caught me, with the trail of blood in the snow. You can imagine a wounded Sabertooth having only a bit of a headstart 2 km in front of him. Everything Wolvie should be: a badass hunter.

And in terms of technique: the snow settings make for some nice graphic effects with the brushes, the trail of blood (there are some bits of red pencil here and there).

An overal success imho :)

Stephane is known as a babe artist but it shows here that he also can produce great hero figures.

Such a great piece, good job getting it for a better price! It recalls the beginning of the Miller Wolverine mini, for me.
