I thought I would never part with my Blackest Night #1 cover, and the criteria to do it had to be so specific that I knew it would never happen. Until Blackest Night #8 came out. The only way I would get rid of it is if there was a Double Page splash that had all the characters from Blackest Night, Green Lanterns, a Single Image with no other art blocks, it had to have Hal Jordan prominently in the picture, and tons and tons of characters...basically be "Blackest Night" in a nutshell. I kid you not...that was my criteria BEFORE the issue came out. And I would have bet the farm that it wouldn't happen, so I didn't sweat it and actually had the Cover to Blackest Night at the framer ready to be framed! And wouldn't you know it, BAM!, pages 10-11 fit the bill PERFECTLY! I wanted a piece that was the perfection of Ivan Reis, and this was it! Of course big thanks to the fantastic Edward Acle...I'm not sure who made who happier in this transaction...I am glad to help the gentleman finish off his Magnum Opus of his Blackest Night Covers (But Ed, The Ethan Van Sciver Blackest Night #1 cover art will have to leave my cold dead hands after my death! :) Just Incredible!

I think all will agree you made out in the end. Ivan Reis is the next George Perez, I think. He can do multi character pages amazingly!!!
