DescriptionMy love affair with comics started with the 60's Spider-Man cartoon (in reruns, I'm not THAT old!) Immediately Electro became my favorite villain and that's true today as much as it was then. When my time came up on Ron Frenz's commission list, I had a lot of ideas, as I always do, but Ron was drawing "Amazing Spider-Man" when I started reading comics and that will always be my golden age. It made perfect sense then to get a classic Spidey piece, I don't have as much Spider-Man art as I probably should, so this is definitely a crown jewel in my collection. I love the Ditko energy Ron brings to this piece. ELECTRO TRIUMPHANT!Social/Sharing |

It definitely looks inspired by the Ditko splash in the ASM annual 1. Frenz uses the atypical look where it's a freeze frame of the action rather than idealized poses.

Ron is so great! Classic Ditko vibe but still all Frenz.
