DescriptionFinch did an amazing job on this DPS. The expression on Batman's face as Scarecrow shows him his greatest fears..his inability to save his parents, his villians, his loves ones like Alfred, Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman and Gotham always in the background with the signal calling for him to save them all. Its a wonderful piece full of little cool details like Batman's cape dissolving into bats. Scarecrow is such an underrated villian and truly one of Batman's worst. Enjoying destroying people's sanity by making them experience their absolute worst fears is brutal in its concept and vile. Scarecrow isn't funny or silly, he is one of the worst of Batman's villians. It is just such an amazing piece. Big thank you to Rob for parting with it. Social/Sharing |

So much Finch goodness to pour thru with the details and characters. Love the rendition of Crane!

Wicked! One could look at this again and again and find something new each time. Now THATS what makes a piece a true show stopper. Conngrats!

All of Batman's nightmares have come true with Scarecrow in command! One of the highlights of Finch's run on the title he launched in Batman the Dark Knight.

The thing I love about the Scarecrow is that his power at its core is to induce psychological terror into his victims' psyches, and that is oftentimes far scarier than the in your face type of horror you see when villains kill people in front of you, etc. Once again, so glad to have showcased this one during your Show & Tell episode, Jared!

Boy,these were great issues in their time and this is a dandy, and I remember talking to richard friend about these and he said he really enjoyed working over Finch's pencils ! I wound up buying several pages from him in 2012 SDCC.

WOW! Jawdroppingly cool Batman DPS by David Finch! This is really one of the best pieces by David that I've ever seen! First of all, the concept is awesome! The Scarecrow making Batman face his worst fears? Excellent! Second, the drawing is phenomenal. The tilted angle of the page, the musculature of Batman, the torn and tatter Scarecrow himself--Superb! Finally, the sheer amount of detail from Batman's parents dying on the Large Penny from the Batcace? The Joker and Bane leaning in from above? The faces of Alfred, Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman? Batman's cape turning into Bats? Unbelievable! Sincerely, Jared--This one's the best! Congrats on a real winner!
