Description

Here's our final submission for an abbreviated JSAtober.

I consider this another commission from the grave.

I have no clue to the origin of this piece, I simply know when it showed up on the open market and I was fortunate enough to purchase it.

So here is an effort by the All Star Squadron's second penciler, Adrian Gonzales featuring the original second tier heroes Roy Thomas enlisted to form the nucleus of the All Star Squadron.

Very cool! The mix of knights, dragons, and superheroes is a classic DC thing to do. The great inks of Gonzales deserve to be printed on baxter paper!

This is a complete guess, but since the All-Stars seem to be battling a "feathered serpent", I wonder if this might have been a tryout piece by Adrian, misinterpreting something from Roy Thomas or Len Wein about the content of issue #6 (?)
