Description

Chris Samnee rules. Versatile, efficient. . . and he has a great sense of humor. I watched as he created this for my brother at the HeroesCon '08. As a finishing touch, he took a tiny fork-like instrument and dug out little divets in the ink to simulate snowfall.

Samnee's inking style is ideal for the black and white visual contrasts of Stormshadow and Snake Eyes. Toss-in some white-on-black snow effect, and you've got a match made in heaven. This is inspired: both in concept and in execution. The Doctor is, indeed, Fantastic!

The technique Samnee used gives this commission the feel of a wood-block print.
