Description

Grant Morrison's tremendous, ambitious Seven Soldiers event brought together some of the greatest artists in the field of comics to tell a story that spanned millennia and multiple universes. It remains one of my favorite stories in comics history. I set a collecting goal to acquire a piece of art from each artist that worked on this series shortly after the series concluded in 2006, and thanks to JH Williams III my collection is one step away from completion! I love this page for many reasons: the epic clash between Mr. Miracle Shilo Norman and Darkseid on several planes of God-combat, the great panel layout, and the fact that the original artist of the Mister Miracle miniseries was Pasqual Ferry, who only completed one issue of art before leaving for another project. Freddie Williams II finished the miniseries, but he did it all digitally. For these reasons, Mister Miracle pages are extremely rare. This page is so perfect for my collection, I could go on for days. . . but instead I'll just say THANKS JIM!
