Description

I asked Tom to envision the Earth-2 Robin and Huntress placing Batman's costume in a place of honor after his death in Adventure Comics #462 with his closest friends from the JSA in attendance. Tom excels in telling a story in a single image, and I love the emotion he brings out in this piece. The Earth-1 Batman Family only adds another layer to this great piece.

Tom Derenick's talent is extraordinary, and the level of detail here is nothing short of amazing. This was a great idea for a commission.

Dick Sprang is my favorite GA Batman artist! Tom certainly captured the spirit of Dick's spirit.
