DescriptionI have been looking for a great Dr. Fate cover for a long time. They are extremely hard to find. This one has it all, Dr. Fate, his main nemises, Wotan, Nabu, Kent Nelson and his father and his later girlfriend/wife. This is a special cover done very well by a young Todd McFarlane and I am so happy to finally have this in my collection. Dr. Fate is one of those characters that has greatly fluctuated in power and characterization. He is this extremely powerful being and a great compliment to the magic side of DC along with the Phantom Stranger and the Spectre. I should also add that this art is large 13x17.5.Social/Sharing |

I LOVE Dr Fate, possessor of comicdom's coolest helmet! Great looking image of him and hovering in front of the giant ankh? Check! Plus everything else you mention in your description. The story also contains the secret origin of the character? Bonus! Pencilled by the young McFarlane? Double bonus! Congrats on finally landing it, Jared!

So cool. Picked this up off the stands despite not knowing much about All-Star Squadron or Doctor Fate. The cover was just too cool. And even better now, as OA!

Great design by Todd in his only issue of this title! He excelled early in page design and also cover design while the drawing style was still developing. He moved right into Infinity Inc after this, so he wasn't well known at this point. With Dr. Fate's origin, this is a significant issue all around.

Cool cover! I'm not a huge Todd fan, but I really like the way DeZuniga inked him here.

I did wonder which high-roller got this FANTASTIC Dr Fate cover. Now I know.
I'm a big All-Star collector but way, way, out of my league. Glad it's in the hands of Dr Fate collector!
