Description

Here is the original cover art for the first issue of The Bomb (by Atom Bomb comics). This issue was featured in the July 2007 Wizard magazine (pg 107). This artwork is really fun and totally awesome. Steve told me that it was made in homage to Twisted Tales #1 (by Richard Corben).
The art contains a lot of subtle pencil work along with the inks, and in fact on the border are the words "Fearless June" (Note: the character depicted eventually became known as Fearless Dawn), and of course it also says, "My mom's gonna kill me when she sees this place!" right between her hands.

Eric, yeah the story on this one is pretty amazing. I jumped on Steve's work when he started putting it up on eBay (I really like his stuff). This piece came up early on, and I loved the tribute to Corben's Twisted Tales #1 (Steve said he really loved that one, too). Then later this showed up as the cover to The Bomb #1!
