Compared with what they went with, editors probably didn't like that Logan is shown the shortest in the group shot when everyone is standing upright together. It also shows Sasquatch dominating the cover as opposed to Wolverine who is the star.

A very nice Kubert-ish variation. Very strong but the published version is better IMHO. More dramatic with a sense of mystery in just showing the foe's forearm.
