Description

This was the first piece of original art that I ever picked out and purchased. I found out about Albert Moy's site and went there wanting something epic. The machines of the "Old Ones" are a constant reminder throughout the series that the world has moved on. Part of what always fascinated me in the books was the mix of the "western/medieval" with remnants of a past technological civilization. The foreground is grim and the tank is massive. I like that it visually shows what may have happened had Roland and his ka-tet not bested the Big Coffin hunters.

if it weren't for roland this bad boy would be running all over small towns being driven by john farson's men. what a piece! haunting, powerful, and like you said a great reminder that the world has moved on.
