DescriptionI picked up this book "Batman:Snow" at the comic shop and sat on it for months, never really being quite in the mood to pick it up. I finally did one day and fell in love. The art, the story, the movement, it was all magnificent:) The story pulled me in like none had for a while, and when I emerged I was dying to read more. Seth Fisher infused his art with such a magnificence of personality, every page feels like nobody else could have drawn it. That it was just 100% personality and humor. And it's incredibly fun and creative work. Seth would layer elements in a panel to add depth, would draw out complete rooms with every little picture frame and outlet so that it felt it "lived" beyond the borders of the page, and he would even build lettering and page layout around the story and art, fully combining them. I have great respect for the things he did. Well, after some shocking news of his untimely death and some assistance from Jeff Singh to get in touch with Seth's mom, I was able to buy two pages from her of her son's work, which I am very proud to be hanging on my walls. This was my favorite all around page of the entire Snow series by Seth, containing every cool element I would want in his art from creative and well executed visual storytelling(check the Gordon through glass), intricately insane machinery at a dozen different depths(panel#1), to even some of the cartoony ice breath in the last couple of panels. I think this is genius. A page that works silently on so many levels, yet shows complete control over what he was doing. Social/Sharing |

I completely agree about Seth Fisher. I think he had a lot more great art to share. . .

Wow, Jason, this is just superb. Fisher's approach with line and texture was pretty incredible.
