Description** 12/09/2019i) added the published version ii) added spinoff images from this painting; one that I used to own before (Bisley done a few pieces including 2XSpiderman, Hulk, Punisher); the other piece I like very much also but lost when it was being auctioned 10+ years back; I have a feeling that the new bloodshot cover has some similarities with this piece 😀 *** Finally, this piece is in my hands! Some 10 years back, i ordered my first Bisley commission . Due to the long commission list, his art rep at a point asked if i would like to change to a Punisher cover (Andy, do you remember this? lol) This Punisher Cover was later being auctioned on Ebay. I could not have won the auction at that time. Since then, this piece has disappeared from the market. 10 years later, I am in touch with the collector who bought it at that time. The piece had however JUST been sold to another collector. You can imagine how disappointed i was. To my surprise, later i had a deal with the new owner, and here it is, in my collection :) The piece has got some "ripples" due to poor mounting, but i can honestly say that it doesn't at all affect the beauty of it! :) Thanks Maria & Matthew Social/Sharing |

Bisley is the master of drawing Bad @SS heroes. Fabulous!

Bisley did one published Punisher cover (this one), and one 4 page Punisher story. No other published Punisher works of him exist, making this rare, indeed!

He did a cover for Strip! for Marvel UK featuring the Punisher and also depicted the character (alongside Spiderman) on The Comic Book Price Guide 1990 edition, Both were published in 1990 (a year or two before this one...)
