Description

For many, Batman or his DC work is the price when you collect Jim Lee�s art. I like those.

But for me, the Jim Lee artistic revolution happened on Uncanny and later on X-Men. That is when and where he blew my young mind up.

This splashy page speaks for itself. I never cared much for Maverick but I always liked Sabertooth from his introduction in Iron Fist. I like felines and feline based characters. Even if this particular one is more of a monster than a true feline.

So to find and own a 2/3 splash of Sabertooth, in his Jim Lee redesigned costume no less, is a real treat. He looks badass and dangerous as hell.

The inks by Art Thibert were not as slick as Scott�s but they complement Jim�s pencils well.

Real happy with this one given the rarity of Jim�s pages on X-Men stuff and their price ;)

Totally agree, Uncanny is where JL first wowed me! I, too, really like his Sabretooth and you've got a couple of nice shots here. Congrats!

What a great page, Fred! Uncanny and X-men were a highlight of my teens as well when Jim Lee did them. I am still trying after many years to put back together a sequence from the issue after this one, and these pages are tough to find. Congrats on scoring a nice one!

Killer page! Love the huge Sabertooth figure. Jim Lee's work was unsurpassed on UXM! Great pick-up!
