Yet another piece from the JMB collection :)

While it's obvious that Jeff's older stuff can't level with the level of quality he has reached nowadays, his 90s published stuff is what makes the fans vibrate

His first work for Liefeld's Extreme studio was raw but full of energy. His Marvel stuff (X-Factor & Wolvie) was much more polished. But for me, the height of his artistic career in publishing form, was Kaboom with Jeph Loeb. You can't top his art on Kaboom.

This full splash is quite impressive and the hero does not look like you would want to mess with him. Lots of those nice Kirby crackles as well.

This piece will fit nicely with my Kaboom cover and other splashes (and yes I know it was not that fantastic a title but it was fun AND the art was fresh and full of energy).

For some reason tonight, I started thinking about the years when I got back into comics after not reading or collecting them for a few years. In my last year of university, for some reason, I started reading and collecting them again (don;t ask me why as, since I was in my last year of University, it's not like I had a lot of expendable income) And for some reason, I pretty much picked up ANYTHING that was "new". And so, I picked up ALL of the AWESOME ENTERTAINMENT titles. Yes including Kaboom! Hell, I even picked up Red Scarlett! So... tonight as I found myself thinking about the comic store I went to and grabbing those titles (sadly the store no longer exists) I typed in "Kaboom!" in the search box and came upon this piece. Thank you. Thank you for having this in your gallery and bringing a smile to my face.

Scarlett Crush!!!! Not Red Scarlett. And that short run Alan Moore Youngblood series was incredible. Sigh. Such fun comics.
