A "classic" X-Men piece for certain! I think this is one of the best images that Arthur Adams ever drew.

To be honest, the only reason I spent any money on these reprint books was because of the great Art Adams covers and these super cool frontispieces. Can't believe with all the Adams stuff I have, I don't even have one of these yet. Congrats on this beauty!

Mindblowingly cool Phoeniz spash! Arthur Adams really killed on this image of Jean Grey as the Phoenix! Not only is she drawn exceedingly well (Arthur is so good at drawing females), but the Phoenix Spirit growing out of her energy aura is freaking awesome! Glad it was finally used for a cover, it's one of Arthur's most cover-worthy drawings!
