DescriptionWithout question one of the most under-rated artists in DD history. Mr, Weeks came onto the title after JRJR's long, and iconic run, which may have resulted in his drama-laden, urban grit-infused aesthetic being overshadowed a bit. However, I, for one, loved Lee's work at the time but have grown even fonder of it in retrospect. This sketch is a prime example of Lee's clear and poignant understanding of Matt's ethos, as that grimly-serious facial expression says it all. Hats off to you, Mr. Weeks!Social/Sharing |

That commission is awesome Matthew, I never tire of seeing Lee's artistry, and this is one of his best1
! LEE WEEKS' run on the Daredevil book should be looked upon as at least the equal to Romita Jr's epic run.

Weeks is one of my favorite DD artists, as well. I started reading DD off-and-on during Nocenti's run so Romita Jr. and Weeks will always be the first artists I think of when I think of ol' hornhead. Anyway, this piece is great!

What an amazing portrait! Weeks doesn't get the credit he deserves. Even in a portrait he manages to convey deppth of charcater. Just look at the expression on DD face.
