You never know how new characters will be received by the public. I think it's clear that Miles Morales has been a success beyond expectations.

I always thought this was a powerful image with Miles putting on the big pants and taking the torch from Peter.

And there's a poster of Peter in the background for inspiration.

Great image, top to bottom. There is definitely an emotive quality to Marquez's work. Love the determined look there on Miles. And technically so much nice hatching, on Miles himself to the costume he's holding. Congrats!
