DescriptionWhen I was younger, my knowledge of the X-Men universe was only limited to the books I owned at the time. I couldn't afford to follow all 5 ongoing series and buy back issues. So a book like this gave me a larger overview of everything in the X-men universe. There was a price guide in the back for all X-men comics. And that shiny foil cover with a badass Wolverine made me the coolest nerd in school. If you're in the hobby long enough, you start to realize there isn't a single grail. I have several nostalgic grails in my mind. But this poster just happened to be the one taped on my bedroom wall as a kid. I tried to stop collecting after this, but I only stopped looking for more Kubert. As hard as it is now to get an Andy Kubert cover, it was pretty much impossible years ago. Thankfully, Shamus sold his incredible collection so that I could buy one. Social/Sharing |

Nostalgia can be a wonderful thing, (Would you consider 790k cash?)

Wonderful piece Larry! My check for 800k is in the mail. Just hold off on cashing it for a while!

Absolutely beautiful. Scremes everything I remember in the same era with the X-Men - this is one of those pieces you measure all others against!

Whoa! What a grail! Loved your story about this stellar piece. I think I got into Wizard after this came out. Man, Andy has always and will always bring the heat! Congrats on such a monumental image of the Children of the Atom!

One of my favorite X-Men covers ever. And not even from an X-Men comic book.
Too cool.

Nice! It's awesome to see this, Larry. I remember this distinctly and this Wizard X-Men special was one of my favorite Wizard books. I had it forever and flipped through it all the time. I may actually still have it somewhere! Always thought Wolverine looked awesome and I dug the bearded Cable look. Congrats!

These Wizard covers are so special. Not only are they full of nostalgia but the artists really put everything they had into them. Deff a modern masterwork. Congrats!
