Wow, what a great get! The MLJ covers were some of the best of that era. They're just as good as the more well known Timely covers.

That is actually Irv Novick who drew this cover. As far as I know, C.C. Beck never worked for MLJ / Archie Comics. He was strictly a Fawcett guy, until DC revived the good ole' Captain Marvel in 1972. Then we worked for DC.
