Description

Many of you that I've been lucky enough to sit down and chat with at a Con (or otherwise have had occasion to check out my gallery) know that the Asgardian Wars story arc that crossed between the New Mutants and X-Men books is one of my favorite storylines in comics history. Thus, when it came time to capture Dani Moonstar--another of my favorite New Mutant ladies--I opted to request her in her Valkyrie outfit from those days. Joe Pekar was the man I tasked with the job of rendering her so...and I think he knocked it out of the park (as usual!). I was happy as can be to pick her up at the 2011 Pittsburgh Comic-Con! Thanks, Mr. Pekar!!! :D

There's a delicate quality to this piece but a definite sense of strength. I love the layout.. and Pekar's choice of colours are perfect. Great choice of costume, too. A winner all the way around.. congratulations. :)

I agree with Holly. She definately got the duality of the character. The vulnerable young woman and the brave cheyenne warrior. Great job.
