BOY, DID I STRUGGLE WITH THIS ONE. THE GUY I DID THIS FOR HAS AN AMAZING COLLECTION. I DIDN'T WANT TO BE THE TURD IN THE PUNCHBOWL. ONCE I GOT OVER MY INITIAL FEAR, I HAD A TON OF FUN. IF YOU'VE CHECKED OUT MY OTHER SHADOW DRAWING, IN THE DESCRIPTION, I TALK ABOUT HOW I'D OVERCOMPLICATED THE COMPOSITION. THAT, I WAS TRYING TO FIT MULTIPLE IDEAS INTO ONE IMAGE. THIS IS ONE OF THE OTHER IMAGES THAT CAME OUT IF THAT. THERE'S ONE MORE, WAITING TO BE DRAWN. IN THE THIRD, THE SHADOW IS RIDING ON THE ROOF OF A SPEEDING CAR, SHOOTING THE VILLIANS WITHIN.

I love the back alley feel of this piece, John. The layer upon layer of rich background elements coupled with the spot-on Dashiell Hammett-like feel of the characters give rise to pulp fiction commission heaven. This may very well be your strongest piece yet. Wow!

I love the depth of the piece. As every you put so much detail in it's wonderful - and The Shadow appearing as if a ghost off the wall - just brilliant

Turd in the punchbowl? Why this piece is the fruit that everyone clamors for in the punchbowl! It's the primo cashews in the bowl of mixed nuts! It's stupendous, wonderful and great all rolled up into one piece. And I can't wait to receive it! ~:c) Thanks Joltin' one...
