Nice not having to come up with original names for your characters! Rock, Paper, Scissors! I love it.

Notice that the wide open eyes on PAPER were changed in the printed version from the Sinnott finished version to be more squinty like the original pencils.

The Sinnott inks really bring out Byrnes pencils. I like this a lot.

Nice pick-up. FYI - Byrne comments on the change to Paper's eyes on his forum when asked about it. http://www.byrnerobotics.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=41725&KW=trio&PN=0&TPN=4 Paper's face in the version above does look more Sinnott-y....but not Asian at all. •• I'm not sure where IDW got ahold of that copy of the inks. When I got the cover back from Joe I was, as you can imagine, thrilled. It looked exactly as I hoped it would -- except for one detail. Being unfamiliar with the characters, Joe had "missed" Paper's face. So, mostly so that no one would have reasons to gripe about his otherwise brilliant work, I put on my editor's cap and fixed it. No one was ever supposed to see the uncorrected cover.

I keep coming back to this piece, I love comparing the pencils to the inked version! Joe is a master. He has a wonderful way of injecting his style to enhance the image, while staying so true to the pencils! Now I need to see him ink a full issue of John's Trio!!!!
