DescriptionAccording to the Jack Kirby Checklist, this is one of only four Sky Masters Sundays in the entire run of fifty three penciled + inked entirely by Kirby.Rendered shortly after inker Wally Wood departed the series, you can tell "The King" was attempting to mimic Wood's style. Kirby inked the strip until Dick Ayers arrived on board in late August 1959. Ayers commented in his biography that Kirby sent him originals inked by Wood in order to imitate his lines.
