DescriptionA key Marvel cover published in 1965. Thor stumbles onto the hidden entrance of Olympus and the entire stable of Greco/Roman legends is absorbed into the Marvel Universe. This is the first issue/cover appearance of Hercules, who later becomes a supporting member of The Avengers, The Champions, and The Defenders. This issue reprints the first app. stories of Loki, Radioactive Man, and Molten Man. The internet was awash with speculation that Hercules would be entering the MCU in Thor: Love and Thunder. That speculation proved to be true. This is one of the earliest Thor cvrs. known to exist. One of the best Hans. We've been admiring this in your collection since the late 90s when we became aware of it.Glad you still have it.

I owned this book, of course, and I bow down to the awesomeness of the cover. And yet, seeing it here, with Thor and Hercules engaging in godlike pugilism, I can't help but think of What's Up Tiger Lilly..."Saracen pig! Spartan dog! Take this! And this! Roman cow! Russian snake! Spanish fly! Anglo-Saxon Hun!"
Sorry if this seems unrespectful to The King, but I just can't help it.
