DescriptionWhen I first started collecting original art to Alan Moore's Supreme, I never thought that I would one day own the regular painted cover by Jerry Ordway to the Alan Moore's 1st issue!I guess I was wrong and you can dream big! A big thank you to the Ordster for selling me this cover. People say it, and it sounds like a cliche, but after seeing the cover in person, it looks so much better than the published comic! For those you interested in exactly how it was done, here is a direct quote "I worked in Dr Martin's watercolor dyes, and some prismacolor pencil. It's kind of a layered way of applying the watercolors, which I developed while doing the Power of Shazam comic covers." This cover of course (along with a variant cover this issue, which I also own and is in this gallery) is an homage to the iconic Superman #1 cover (attached as an alternate image) Social/Sharing |

Beautiful painting! All Jerry's paintings look so much better in person. The colors are so much deeper & powerful. Congrads! Jerry's not only a very talented artist, but a great guy also.
