Description

I've long admired Kazu Kibuishi's work on titles like Amulet, Copper, Daisy Kutter and especially the Flight/Explorer anthologies so I was very happy to win this piece at the Baltimore Comic Con 2017 auction.

I met Kazu this past weekend at MICE 2017 and mentioned I'd won this piece. Kazu said he'd been corresponding with Tellos co-creator/artist Mike Wieringo and asking for digital coloring pointers right before Mike passed. So in tribute for that advice, Kazu posted his entire process from pencils to inks to coloring on his Twitter this past summer.
