Description

In the series, all symbols and the worlds of story are embodied by the Leviathan. This page came from Issue 32.5, one of the "0.5" issues that were issued in 2011 in the lead-up to "Tommy Taylor and the War of Words". Each of these of these issues told the back-story of one of the main characters. No. 32.5 had Pullman in his Mesopotamian identity of Utnapishtim trying to lead the hero-king Gilgamesh on a hunt for the Leviathan.

Most of Dean Ormston's work has been over his own pencils. This issue was done differently. Peter Gross did the layouts and Dean used those as the basis for his own pencils. He then used a lightbox to do the inks on a separate page. This page is for the ink stage. Someone out there owns the pencils. May pencils and inks be reunited one day. :-)
