DescriptionI am a long time BWS fan - and feel his strongest medium is pencil. So I am pretty happy to have secured this pencil that I remember well from both the Cygnus Box portfolio as well as its link to the scarce Nimue Photoprint (additional image)I saw this pencil live at PIH's LA area location in the Summer of 2016 - fortunately for me, it didn't sell as it had an aggressive starting bid. This time I was able to secure it at PIH so patience paid off! Social/Sharing |

Congrats! This was one of the few pieces I asked to see when I visited PIH prior to the auction. Gorgeous work.

Aww Mark: how come you pick up all the best pieces?... That PIH auction was quite insane and I'm glad to see this absolute masterpiece in your collection! Well deserved and well done!...

Thanks Al ! As we browse the gracious commenters' galleries, all can agree that I do not pick up all the best pieces but after ~35 years, I am happy to watch over a selection that makes me smile!

On my laptop when I click on the image it actually comes up at very close to actual 10" x 12" size

Really beautiful Mark.
I'm curious about the framing: how did you get the effect of the piece "floating" above the mat? It's quite nice.

I worked with a local framer and frankly not sure - but I there are little 'pads' behind the art so it is 'floating' - I have to have the art framed nicely to earn a spot on a visible wall!
