Over the years I've passed on a few amazing Bolland covers because there simply wasn't any connection to the comic content inside, so I was VERY happy to add this one to my collection late last year.

Animal Man was Grant Morrison's introduction to American audiences. Not everyone was reading it, but those who were couldn't stop talking about those first 26 issues as they came out.

As far as I'm concerned, this was Morrisson's peak. The Bolland covers help cement the book's status. Congrats, Jeff!

A really amazing piece. The humor is classic Bolland and this run of Animal Man is still soooo good. I wish they would bring him back like this.

I think Animal Man contains Morrison's comic book DNA and Bolland just instinctively got it. This cover, like the stories, works on so many different levels. Cheers!
