Great page from a truly hillarious book. Kyle is one of the unsung geniuses to have worked in comics. I highly reccomend this book to anyone who has not yet read it. (The Cowboy Wally Show too)

Hey I like this one too!! Loved this book when it came out. When I saw Kyle in SD he said no pages left though! Good grab. Benno

Yes, a wonderful book! The artwork sometimes looks so simple, almost amateurish, but it's pure genius. Less is more!

And now, it's more than 30 years. And there is STILL a very good reason to read this book.

Now this is a funny page! But what's with all the strange shading over the image - is that dirty glass?

Notice the lettering, logo, clipart frames, etc... were all done on some dot matrix printer and printed out on typing paper before he began the illustrations. Anyways, someone somewhere along the line had the typing paper mounted to cardstock.

They did that in the early-mid 20th century and I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that "collectors" were still doing this in the 90s. It's only in the last 10-15 years that people have started to (more consistently) look at these pieces of paper as "art" worth preserving.
