Description

It was difficult to sell/trade the Kirby Nova 7 cover but this is a pretty slick replacement, the original unpublished version of the Nova 7 cover by Cockrum. The notes at the bottom from Marv Wolfman to Kirby are quite interesting. If you search CAF with "Kirby, Nova, 7" you can see the two side by side--and do a compare.

In 2013, I had Hart Rieckhof add a logo to get the full effect - additional image is without the logo

Wow, great cover... another unseen gem! Odd to read Marv Wolfman running down peak-period Cockrum... but I guess we can thank him for the existence of the Kirby/Sinnott variation that also exists. Mighty cool to see this!

When I come to your gallery, I see more and more items for which I have not posted a comment. Thanks much for posting this little Cockrum gem. I enjoyed your story provided. You definitely had an 'old versus new' creative mentality going on in the Marvel Bullpen during the late 1970s from the stories that I have read.
