DescriptionI've been following Todd's art since the mid-90s and know how rarely great pages come along. The stream of A-list McFarlane pieces from the Shamus Collection was never likely to be repeated. Now was the time to grab something tasty...I always loved the cover of this issue. Thought it was so well designed and put it at the top of my list of dream covers. I think this panel page is a model stand-in! Awesome top panel fight scene with a full-figure, full-width webhead in action, going through the villain, webbing lassoing all over the place, witty banter, sound effects, and a pretty amazing spit-curl on Hydro-Man. Then two more super cool Spidey panels, including the Hydro-fist! I'm pretty stoked about this little gem. This is about as good as it gets for an ASM panel page. Cool stuff! One of my favorite McFarlane interiors from the Shamus collection and a truly outstanding example of what made Todd's art so dynamic and widely sought after - you sir are very fortunate to have added this fantastic example to an already impressive collection. Enjoy!!!

I personally believe that whatever price you paid for this page, it was money well spent. You can hardly find a better fighting sequence in the McFarlane SpiderMan opus. I personally believe that this is superior even to the later (non-amazing) production, is much more fresh and funny. You did the right thing, Jason!

Mcfarlane had really hit his stride with this issue, his art really made a quantum leap between issue 312 and 315. Congratulations, this page has everything that made Mcfarlane...well, Mcfarlane. Plus it has great old school hand lettering! Congrats Jason!

This is the period where McFarlane really hit his stride on Amazing, and this page is just about as nice an example from his run as they get! Three panel page, and each one glorious in it's own right; but that first one really takes the cake! Congrats, and thanks for sharing!

That 1st panel does it for me. A grinning Sandman, half man, half water. Such a great page!
