When I was a young adolescent comic geek (about a million and a half years ago) the first artist whose style I learned to recognize on sight was Gil Kane. Before I eventually discovered Neal Adams, Gil was a god to me. That sentiment has not changed. Congrats Aric!

Gil Kane is one of my favorite artists ever. I really like this piece because it was dated from the time when his flyer arc in LOTDK came out. Until then I always saw Gil's work through reprints. I was so excited to see his name on the stands with something new. It's still one of my favorite things he's done. He was an innovator at every stage in his career.
