DescriptionI had to trade art that was very near and dear to me to get this but after I actually received it, it just reconfirmed for me why I did what I did. After years of searching for the right piece it culminated into what I consider one of my grail pieces of art. Truly an artist of epic proportions. It was published in the "Dave Stevens Selected Sketches & Studies Vol 2" book, in "Dave Stevens Complete Sketches & Studies," and it is also featured as a full page pinup in "Brush With Passion: The Art & Life Of Dave Stevens" on page 188. The title of the piece is "L'il Sure Shot."Social/Sharing |

Since this is one of Dave Stevens finest pieces of artwork I do not think that you will ever regret having to let artwork go in order to get this.Congratulations.

As I read somewhere else on CAF, whenever a collector gets his grail, we all celebrate. (Kinda like bells ringing and angel wings, I guess.) Congratulations on acquiring one of the best of the best.

If Dave Stevens ever did mediocre pin-up art with pen and ink, I've yet to see it! Gorgeous Marilyn rendered with Stevens' luscious line is pretty much as good as it gets. Good luck topping this in 2009!

That is a beautiful piece! I hope to own a Dave Stevens before they get completely out of my reach! ;) I discovered Bettie Page because of Dave introducing her in the Rocketeer :) I miss Dave too

Um, that's nice. Interesting design choice as I'm not aware Marilyn Monroe ever played her but "Little Sure Shot" was what Annie Oakley was known as. But still, when art looks that great it doesn't have to imitate life.
