Every one of these covers during the 90's before the the Waid and Garney run feels like an event in itself! This cover alone makes you feel like the issue should be double sized. Editors were aiming towards the event phase of every title and Cap would get his fancy armor within a year's time.

Very cool! I don't think Dave Hoover gets the recognition he deserves. I always thought he was one of the better 90s artists. While he was drawing in the bulked up style of the time his work had its own distinctive feel and he wasn't just trying to be another Liefeld clone.
