DescriptionThe Avengers go into the Quantum Realm or microverse and find one of their own thought to be long lost. Part of connecting covers that connected mostly through the backgrounds. Legacy numbering would make this Avengers #599. Acquired from a VetTix charity auction whom Peterson donated this cover to support.Social/Sharing |

I really like the use of think lines. It makes Cap really pop out.

I love that intricate, layered background. The Cap drawing is also very nice. I've enjoyed Brandon Peterson's work for quite some time, though he isn't talked about much.

I think someone is about to get a special delivery. An uppercut, express from Cap City. I love the Kirby homage to the microverse with his Kirby Krackle and molecule background. And his pencils and inks are super clean. The fine detail inks on his suit are so solid. Very nice score. Congrats!

Brandon did a great job with this cover. Cap has never looked more fierce, or determined. Congratulations, my friend!

I always love when artists show extra love to the scales on Caps suit. Makes the world of a difference! Awesome cover, Marcus. Congrats!

Awesome! Love the depth the background brings, and the detail, including the shading on Cap's chain mail rocks. And it's unique! Don't see the plates that big or that rendered often. Congrats!

This is awesome, Marcus (and I just re-read this issue last weekend :) ). I am consistently shocked at Brandon's ability to create a digital looking piece analog-ically (sure it's a word!). Such beautiful linework and attention to detail, you betcha - but it's the incredible background detail and execution that catapult this one into the stratosphere. Or, uh, microverse. An incredibly lovely piece - sincere congrats!

I'm with Jason (as usual), this cover is crazy cool! I believe that Brandon created the background digitally, printed it out on the 11x17, and rendered Cap traditionally. Brandon was one of the pioneers of this hybrid approach in comics illustration!

Got it! That makes so much sense. :) A cool technique that produces some really striking results (and Brandon has done a great job refining it). Thanks for shedding the light, Doc!

You bought it from a Vet who had ticks? ...Wait, I might have misread that.

Powerful image from Brandon with a very solid Captain America.
Nice to know that he donated this Art for a charity auction. Not every Artist do that kind of thing.
“Take my hat” (to Peterson) pick!
