DescriptionThe painted cover for Dragon Chiang by Tim Truman. A one shot published by Eclipse from 1991. It's a rediscovered gem from that time period by Cartoonist Kayfabe and appreciated as an outlaw comic full of stuff the big 2 couldn't get away with. Truman is such an under rated stud! Great painting and perfect post for today (although there should be a little bunny there somewhere). Happy New Year and Happy Lunar New Year!

Superb piece from his best period, huge congrats, must be a beauty in person ! I own + love this Oneshot, one of his strongest works along with Grimjack, Scout and DC's Hawkworld !

Great cover! As much as I like it, it's the interior artwork by Truman that is truly amazing. His style was a perfect fit for the story. A classic Tim Truman cover. Congrats!

I loved Tim Truman's work back in the 80's and while this came out when I was still reading/collecting comics, I'm really surprised that I've never heard of it. It's really intricate and tightly finished work, which isn't surprising now that I've seen how tight, polished and gorgeous the interior art is thanks to the Kayfabe.

Wow! Tim Truman is amazing. Loved his D&D work too! The interiors of the book are killer. Thanks for sharing the video. Nice grab! This cover looks great in the picture but I bet it is even more vivid IRL.

that's a real beauty Marcus. loved Tim's run on Airboy back in 86. this is stunning . just the detail in the background with the golden dragon and ying/yang symbol against the red shading to the glint of the barrel of the gun to even the design on the back of his jacket with those little skeleton figures on it. you have a prime Truman piece. happy New year to you and your family

Good grief! Stellar work from the underrated Tim Truman! It's impossible not to see how invested he was in this project from the cover alone (but that's a GREAT video you posted to take us through the rest of the pages, too - thank you for that!)... Incredible detail, insanely rich and nuanced colors. Gorgeous work, with fantastic character details (like the modified Deadhead logo on the back of his jacket: "Truckin'... 'cross the Bering Sea..."). Beautiful post to start off the happy new year! :) Congrats, Marcus!

Your pickup led me to read the comic, which I enjoyed. It's definitely not your typical comic. Tim Truman and Chuck Dixon worked on some novel stuff around this time. Congratulations on the cool art!

Stunning cover! Love Tim Truman's work--He doesn't get nearly the appreciation he should. I love this piece. Nice composition, great use of color, and his technique is fabulous! This is one tough dude he's painted here and it shows!
