DescriptionDarwyn Cooke was a master storyteller who left us far too soon. I loved his work on so many of the projects he undertook, including his stint as an animator on the Warner Bros' Batman Beyond cartoon. I've yet to place the specific episode in which this sequence appears, but the storyboard shows a closeup of Bruce Wayne's hand as he lies unconscious on the Batcave floor. We see the warning "POWER FAILURE" displayed on the Batcomputer as Terry McGinnis lands, stirring up debris from the apparent struggle that has just occurred. We can see the Batmobile in its usual parking spot in the background. It is such a thrill to see Darwyn's elegant lines in person. Thanks for the amazing Christmas gift, Dad!Social/Sharing |

Very cool as this shows off his skill as a director of action sequences in the animation field where he excelled beyond just drawing illustrations.

Wow - another great present!! Darwyn's was such a gifted storyteller, with a style so very well-equipped to convey the needed information so fluidly, and to see a glimpse of that here, stripped down to its basic core elements, is really special. A natural choice for an animated short's storyboards! Congrats again, Doctor!
