DescriptionI bought this page way back in 1990.Years later, when I asked Neil Gaiman to sign it, I realized that writers rarely get to see the original artwork for their works. So I find that it’s always fun having writers sign a page as well. This is from one of my favourite issues of Sandman – there is such a strong undercurrent of sadness and loss running throughout the story. “Lord, what fools these mortals be.” Social/Sharing |

Superb, wonder how many unsolicited offers you'll get for it :)

I wish I could afford an unsolicited offer as it is one of the most beautiful and meaningful pages from this series I've ever seen. Issue 19 is one of the single greatest comics ever put forth by foolish mortals. At one time, a page this issue was to have been one of my grails but I could never find one (I managed to get a page from issue 75 which suffices quite nicely).

Outstanding page. It's true that writers & artists upon seeing long lost pages can often come out with some really interesting stories.

A key page! It sets up a good bit of the subtle twist of the story with Shakespeare's son, and also Puck's role in "The Kindly Ones." And a beautiful shot of Morpheus and an equally-lovely shot of Puck at the end -- along with the series' themes of the old stories adapting to the changing times. Magnificent!
