Supposed to be dead.

THE SOLILOQUY, Phil Coulson: I IDOLIZED them.
All of them.
Even the ones you've never heard of.
To such an OBSESSIVE degree.
When I was a kid, I used to make little note cards, charting their POWERS and my educated guesses at their origins.
I spent so much money over the years on... vintage Captain America TRADING CARDS.
So embarrassing.
I'm only telling you this now because I know you'll never tell anyone else.
And besides...I don't idolize super heroes anymore. I grew up...
...about five seconds before I DIED.
All that adoration bled right outta me. Through the gaping bullet wound in my chest.

Coulson, continues: He even murdered my CAR. What a sick, sick little man.
Wherever you are, DEADPOOL, I owe you for my Lola.
But I should be THANKFUL too, I know. Because if I hadn't died as part of some ridiculous super hero war, I wouldn't have seen the light.
I wouldn't be where I am today, with the strength and conviction to do what needs to be done to protect this country.
Though I suppose that doesn't answer your question, does it?
What you really want to know is...why am I holding this GUN?
And why am I about to point it at your face and pull the trigger?
The answer is simple.

Signed by bother penciller Ed McGuinness, as well as inker Mark Morales. Love that the image resembles actor Clark Gregg that portrayed Agent Phil Coulson in the MCU and later on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I would hope at some point the actor gets to return to the MCU.
