DescriptionFrom very early in his long run with the character, a Moon Knight page from when Sienkiewicz was in his Neal Adams period. In fact, the character in the foreground looks like Neal, and his bag says "Continuity Associates", which was Neal's firm. Clearly a nod to what Bill was using as a model in guiding his style.Of course, Bill's style evolved into the much more stylistic, kind of scratchy style that we all know and love. Luckily for me, I like both and this splash from Marvel Spotlight is a great example of the early Moon Knight. Social/Sharing |

I agree, I love Bill's current art style especially during his run on New Mutants. But my introduction to Moon Knight was with Bill's original style influenced by Neal Adams depicted here in this great piece.

This is why people associated Moon Knight with Batman because of the way Sienkiewicz drew Moon Knight ot have the dynamism of Neal's Batman. A perfect example of lean vertical figurework, tall environment, and the splash comic format complimenting each other.

Moon Knight is obviously great here, but I think the real star of this page is the 3-dimensionality of the architecture. It really sucks you into the scene.
